However, the aftermath from their seemingly innocent exchange causes quite a stir in the newsroom, especially for Ryan, who has to step up and carry out a career-first responsibility. Meanwhile, Gary is apprehensive about booking a cruise with his wife for fear the new boss won't agree to him taking the time off, and Marsh accidentally takes his wife s estrogen pill.

Chuck's paternal instincts seem to rub off on Kelly as she takes matters into her own hands and causes quiet a stir. Meanwhile, Marsh must prove to Gary that he can read "Casey at the Bat" to the children without crying, Montana is outdone by a precocious young weather girl in Gracie's class, and Ryan revisits his awkward elementary school days when he encounters a doppelganger of himself.
