Out of the gate, Kathy tries to turn things around with a celebrity auction on eBay. She'll raise money for charity and get some much needed publicity. The item? Now that some of the troops are back stateside, Kathy tries her best to help lift their spirits and heal through laughter. She visits the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where many soldiers are recuperating from horrific injuries. Kathy tours the hospital listening and laughing and sees what's on the minds of these brave men and women. Kathy also visits the wives, husbands and families of these injured soldiers at Fisher House, a residential complex near the center that provides free housing to families who have traveled great distances to visit their loved ones in the hospital. Kathy's assistant, Jessica, her assistant's assistant Tiffany, and her tour manager Tom have become so famous that they're doing their own class at The Learning Annex on how to be a celebrity assistant. Meanwhile, Kathy's mom, Maggie, is spending more time at Kathy's house because she needs supervision thanks to an issue she's having with her balance. And while she loves her mom, her conservative opinions are driving Kathy nuts. Besides, the wine bill has tripled. So what's a daughter to do? Give Maggie her very own gay. While Kathy's traveling, she's worrying about her Mom home alone, so she's asked one of her sober gays, Patrick, to stop in to check on Maggie. But a daily check in has blossomed into a full-blown May/December romance (never mind that he's gay and she's straight and pushing 90) Patrick is showing Maggie a good time. Between shopping, intimate dinners and trips to the acupuncturist, Kathy's not sure what to make of this new arrangement, but mostly she's upset that Maggie has stolen her gay.

There is a quirky Jewish couple in Queens whose dream wedding includes Kathy serving as their minister. She could probably get Page 6 and maybe the local news to cover it. All it requires is that she gets ordained on the Internet. A trip to New York also means she'll have a chance to see her pal, Rosie O'Donnell. Jessica and Tiffany are dying to play in Rosie's craft room. And just to make things extra fun, Kathy's hooking up with old friends Molly Shannon and Megan Mullally while she's in town.

This special flight features a bevy of flight attendant drag queens and gay themed in-flight entertainment including a stand up performance by Kathy over a PA system at 35,000 feet. Kathy will be beside herself with a captive audience that is ready to party for 15 hours straight. And by straight, we mean gay.

The fourth season of Bravo's Emmy-winning "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-list" begins with Kathy getting a chance to redeem herself from her Emmy acceptance speech in the eyes of Christian Americans. America's favorite Prada-clad journalist, Anderson Cooper, has invited her to co-host CNN's New Year's Eve Countdown show. She and the seriously credible (and yummy) "Andy" as Kathy likes to call him, will be broadcasting LIVE to 220 countries. And as if Anderson Cooper wasn't enough, now "My Life on the D-list" has been nominated for a Producers Guild Award, and Kathy has actually been invited to present. This is Kathy's big chance. The PGA awards promise to have a heavy A-List attendance. With Steve "Woz" Wozniak on her arm (for protection against the likes of Oprah and her best friend Gayle), she's sure to make a splash. The competition in the non-fiction category is stiff, as Kathy riles against "Planet Earth".

A pair of funny ladies stole the show Saturday at the Creative Arts Emmys Saturday night.Kathy Griffin took home her second Emmy, earning the best reality program trophy for Bravo's My Life on the D-List. According to People, Griffin didn’t tell Jesus or anyone else to "suck it" in her acceptance speech (as she infamously did in 2007), but it was still bleepable: "Here we go again, f----rs."The other bleep-worthy moment of the night was Sarah Silverman's two wins for her viral video smash, "I'm F---ing Matt Damon," a clip that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live and suggested Silverman was cheating on then-boyfriend Kimmel with the Bourne Identity star. It's the season finale, and Kathy and her trusty assistant Jessica head to Vegas for an action packed weekend. But it's a lot of work and very little play. Kathy is booked to host Alka Seltzer's World's Largest Buffet event, which includes a satellite media tour starting at 5:00am -- not Kathy's greatest hour. Kathy's Vegas fun continue when she hooks up with A-list fan, Olympic skater Johnny Weir. He's adorable, he's androgynous, and he teaches Kathy to skate. The work of a D-lister is never done - as Kathy heads to Chicago to judge a cooking event sponsored by a random political group (hello D-List!). Next she serves as a "talent scout" on the comedy show, "Last Comic Standing." At least she's putting her expertise to work. Back home, Kathy decides to reward her beloved parents with a glamorous spa getaway weekend. But they have other plans. Life on the D-list is never easy.

The soldiers are grateful that the comedians traveled so far just to make them laugh. Kathy is really impressed by them: "These are teenagers, really hardworking, devoted and patriotic - nothing like those snotty kids on Laguna Beach." The group also goes to an infirmary and visits injured troops. The soldiers want to talk, and Kathy is ready to listen. One soldier tells her that the day before his fianc and friend were killed by a rocket when the three of them were walking to the mess hall. When he recovers he wants to RTD (return to duty). Kathy is astounded and touched. On a less serious note, Kathy must stay on her diet while in Iraq. Her theory is "an insurgency is great for your figure." Kathy and Matt are buzzing around the house, getting packed for Iraq. First order of business for Kathy: making sure Matt packs enough Ambien and Dramamine for the 20-hour flight. They say goodbye to her parents -- mom is in tears and Kathy makes jokes about planning her funeral. They are off, but the limo ride to the airport is a bad sign of things to come. The driver gets pathetically lost picking up the rest of Kathy s comedy troupe -- Mike McDonald and Karri Turner. They arrive in Kuwait and do the first show. Kathy can t find her groove and asks an Army Captain if he will command the troops to laugh. But Mike has no problem -- he does his Stuart character from Mad TV and the crowd loves him. It s not fair. Kathy has been planning and worrying and tweaking her act and she falls flat, but Mike talks in the falsetto voice of a six year old and kills.

Also, an A-List moment turns D-List when the City of Louisville presents her with a Key to the City, but only 10 people show up for the "ceremony" on the steps of City Hall. She talks up the auction at every stop and it pays off. Bids increase steadily and the auction closes at $28,000. Kathy and Matt are thrilled and hurry to get the house ready. Is the winner an ax murderer or just another gay man crazy for Kathy? Just when life is looking up, Kathy's A-List moment quickly turns D-List when the winning bidder pulls out. It gets worse: none of the bidders next in line want in. This would never happen to Nicole Kidman. The house is all ready for the weekend - but will eBay be able to find anyone to show up?
