Microsoft Cancels Sponsorship of Seth MacFarlane Special

Microsoft has canceled its sponsorship of Seth MacFarlane's upcoming variety special, citing content concerns, Variety reports.

The software giant had forged a deal with MacFarlane and his collaborator Alex Borstein for the Nov. 8 special, Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show, to promote its new Windows 7 operating system. Family Guy Live Comedy Show Coming to Fox This November

Family Guy is making the move to live action with a new variety special set for November.

The tentatively titled Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show will air Sunday, Nov. 8 at 8:30/7:30c and feature the show's creator Seth MacFarlane and co-star Alex Borstein. MacFarlane and Borstein voice Peter and Lois Griffin, respectively.
