Saturday Night Live has added chart-topping hip-hop artist Akon to its Dec. 9 outing, which already offers Annette Bening as host and Gwen Stefani as a musical guest.... Mary J. Blige was the big winner at Monday's Billboard Music Awards, grabbing nine wins, including female R&B artist of the year and R&B/hip-hop album of the year. Other winners include every one of us who didn't have to watch Paris host.

Following Fox's live, Monday-night broadcast of the 2006 Billboard Music Awards to be hosted by whom is anyone's guess American Express cardmembers will be able to log on to Fox.com/Billboard and use their plastic to access streaming footage of Janet Jackson performing two songs from her repertoire, as well as partaking in a Q&A. And while yes, membership does have its privileges, no, you will not be glimpsing anymore of her bosom.

"In a move that may cause a black hole of stupidity to implode in the middle of Las Vegas," as the New York Post's Page Six so snarkily puts it, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have supposedly been tapped to cohost the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, airing live from Las Vegas this coming Monday night on Fox. Accordingly, the view from the front-row seats is now being sponsored by the Gillette Daisy.UPDATE: Britney has abruptly and mysteriously bailed on the gig, Us is reporting. "We really don't know the reason," a source at Fox tells the mag. "But we're disappointed." Brad Garrett is said to be next on the net's wish list, so please, totally forget that Gillette Daisy imagery, thanks.

On Nov. 10, Prince launches an "indefinite" run of twice-a-weekend shows at Las Vegas' 3121 nightclub, inside the Rio hotel. Tickets cost $125, and go on sale today....
