Pretentious film made by a former film critic. Depardieu plays two parts, neither of them very well. Adjani seems limited to two expressions in the film, a smile and a whine. Pisier is the standard whore with a heart of gold, and Brialy is wasted. Techine must have had something in mind when he wrote the script with Goldin.
