It seemed to largely serve as filler for whatever is going to happen in the two-hour finale without many substantial moments. Lynette saved Tom from being transferred to Mumbai and promptly broke up with his boss, but didn't tell Tom how she felt. Tom punched his boss when he went on and on about how difficult Lynette was and even split from Jane &mdash; a move in itself that felt a tiny bit anticlimactic &mdash; but didn't tell Lynette how he felt either.
