(1932, Commonwealth) Tom Mix, Ruth Hall, William Farnum, George Hackathorne. One of our best new western releases. Tom plays a soldier-turned-cowboy who gets on the wrong side of things when he falls for his boss's daughter. The race to the border sequence is terrific. Mix is great, but Farnums over-the-top histrionics really steal the show. Wow. This B western gem features a fine blend of action, comedy, and breath-taking Lone Pine locations. Highly Recommended. 16mm.

One day, an old man shows up and shoots Tom's father dead! The only clue Tom has is a picture of a far-away ranch in Idaho that was hidden away for years in a secret locked room in their mansion. Tom rides out to Idaho, seeking the man who shot his father and the answers to his own furtive past. A top story complements some terrific action sequences. Music score, 16mm.

This very top-notch western was shot on location in the Grand Canyon and features some fabulous cinematography. Tom is a tough cowboy undercover agent investigating the smuggling of Chinese laborers across the Mexican border. During his investigation, Tom comes upon a girl who has wandered away from her companions and become lost. He tries to help her but is captured by the smugglers! Little does he know that the girl's guardian is the brains behind the smuggling operation. This solid western boasts the first ever filmed aerial shots of the Grand Canyon. Recommended.
