The fourth and final film in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN series... The leader of the "Seven" (Lee Van Cleef) is now married and settled down as marshal of a small town. When a psychopathic teenage killer robs a bank, wounds Van Cleef and then kidnaps, sexually molests and kills his wife (Mariette Hartley), Van Cleef's "peaceful" life is destroyed. He accepts a new "mercenary" assignment: to protect a small Mexican town from a vicious gang that has already killed all the men in the town. Van Cleef recruits five convicts (Luke Askew, Pedro Armendariz, Jr., William Lucking, James B. Sikking and Ed Lauter) to help him, plus a newspaper reporter (Michael Callan) who wants to write his story. Among the distressed women welcoming the guns of the "Seven" are Stefanie Powers and Melissa Murphy. Music by Elmer Bernstein.

Beryl Markham: Shadow on the Sun was a two-part TV movie originally telecast in May of 1988. Stefanie Powers is right in her element as the real-life Beryl Markham, an Englishwoman living in Kenya with her family. Bucking the male-dominated Kenyan social structure, Beryl becomes the first woman in Africa to train horses on a professional level. And in 1936, she thrills the world by being the first aviatrix to fly from England to the US across the Atlantic. With four hours to fill, the film is obligated to trace Beryl's love life, which (according to the script) was not always as rewarding as her public accomplishments. Inasmuch as Beryl was a contemporary (and friendly rival) of author Karen Blixen--better known as Isaak Dinesen--Beryl Markham: Shadow on the Sun contrives to include several characters introduced in {-Out of Africa}. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide.

To enhance her latest project, Warren invites the participation of anonymous phone callers, whose voices she records. One of her unseen collaborators calls her up to confess to a murder--several murders, in fact. Warren strongly suspects that the mystery caller may be intending a little performance involving her own demise.
