Andie Anderson (Hudson), Composure Magazine's "How-To" columnist, has a very unusual assignment and a quick deadline. She has to write a firsthand account of all the things that women do to inadvertently drive men away...and she's got to do it in 10 days. Now she's on a mission to find a guy, get him to fall in love with her, then make all the classic dating mistakes so he'll dump her. Too bad Andie's target is ad agency hottie, Benjamin Barry (McConaughey), who has just made a high-stakes bet with his boss that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Does a faux relationship based on deception stand a chance in a world where everyone says they're looking for honesty? You can bet on it!

The trailer for IFC's The Last Romantic which can be seen on IFC Festival Direct. Fancying himself a poet, young Calvin Wizzig moves to New York with aspirations of making his mark on the world. Unfortunately, the world is not particularly keen on having marks made on it, a disheartening truth made brutally clear to Calvin through an eclectic series of encounters with equally self absorbed eccentrics. Running parallel to the disillusionment of Calvin's naive idea of being published is the fantasy that he will find the girl he wrote a poem to while riding the F train into lower Manhattan. His compulsive train rides in search of the girl become the opiate to Calvin's wounded dreams. Obsession with finding the girl becomes an addiction that ultimately, pitted against Calvin's hope of being published, threatens all of his aspirations.

Soon discovering mysterious webcam footage on Muriel's laptop computer that will seemingly aid them in finding Amelia's sister, the duo is confronted with shifting identities in a scene where no one is quite who they appear to be on the surface.
