Hetty happens to be a wealthy dowager who hates all kids due to her son's situation. With her son in jail on the false charge, Hetty takes out all her anger on her daugther-in-law Caroline and her young grandson. The "Reg'lar Fellers" foil the plans of con artists Ferrell and Lubec to swindle Hetty out of her fortune. In gratitude, Hetty builds a new clubhouse for the Reg'lar Fellers, throws them a huge party, and gives a home to Caroline and her grandson.
