The investigation reveals the victim was seeing a therapist who suddenly dropped him as a patient.

As the case progresses, Horatio learns the murder may be connected to the death of a marine in Iraq who was killed in combat. Also, Natalia is shocked to learn that Nick asked Valera out and that she accepted.

During the probe, another body turns up and Horatio attempts to link it to an old rival. Also, Nick harasses Natalia at the crime scene.
