Principal Brooks tells the athletes in the school that, due to a few bad apples, he's going to have to pull the plug on the athletic department. However, he could be persuaded to change his mind if they'd volunteer to be hall monitors. Naturally, they jump at the idea. Brooks watches as Penhall breaks up a fight and asks him to be a hall monitor as well.
