While attempting to capture murderer Joseph "Preacher" Lomax (GEORGE GERDES), Reno interrupts a meeting between Lomax and Cliff (ALLEN RIC PERADA), a local real estate agent. During the gunfire exchange between Lomax and Reno, Cliff is killed. Reno must protect Cliff's widow and young son when Lomax goes looking for them to obtain some incriminating records. Reno discovers that Cliff was laundering Lomax's drug money through his real estate company but recently began working with the FBI when Lomax became dangerously unstable. Lomax takesCliff's boy hostage in exchange for the elusive records. Now Reno must save the child with only Cliff's deathbed clue of "Sparrowhawk" to help him uncover the evidence.
