When Federal Officers Elizabeth Anderson (Julia Ormond) and Sam Hallaway (Bill Pullman) arrive at Captain Billing s office, they have three sets of stories to figure out and a string of vicious murders to consider.
One zealot cop, a strung out junkie and an eight year old girl all sit in testimony to the roadside rampage, but as the Feds begin to expose the fragile little details each witness conceals so carefully with a well practiced lie, they soon discover that uncovering the truth can come at a very big cost

What happens when the people we count on to hold us together... are barely holding it together themselves? Jonas Pate's Shrink is a striking, fast-paced expos of the "other" Hollywood, featuring folks living outside their comfort zone and the people who put them there. Henry Carter (Kevin Spacey) is a psychiatrist with an A-list clientele, including a once-famous actress (Saffron Burrows), an insecure young writer (Mark Webber), and a comically obsessive-compulsive superagent (Dallas Roberts). Henry is not in a good place, however. He has been asked to take his first pro bono case, a troubled teenage girl from a neighborhood far from the Hollywood hills. Considering his present state of mind, is he ready for the real-life troubles of a young woman who loves the world of movies he has become so jaded by? At its core, Shrink is a study of control and our endless need for it, even when it grows increasingly impossible to obtain. Writer Thomas Moffett

With his duffle bag and rifle, he travels back to his hometown of Corpus Christi Texas, where he intends to seek out his father - a man he has only heard about from his Mexican mother, who has since passed away.
Elvis quickly discovers that his father, David Sandow (William Hurt), is now the pastor of a thriving Baptist church, and has a family of his own - a beautiful wife, Twyla (Laura Harring), and two picture-perfect children, Malerie (Pell James) and Paul (Paul Dano). While seeking out his father at church, Elvis unwittingly strikes up a conversation with sixteen-year old Malerie and there's an immediate, unspoken attraction between them.
Elvis then waits for his father after church and follows him and his family to their suburban neighborhood, where he approaches David in front of their Norman Rockwell style home. The encounter is brief. David wants nothin

Elvis (Gael Garc a Bernal) is a young man in his early twenties who, after finishing a hitch in the Navy, learns that his biological father was Pastor David Sandow (William Hurt), a man of the cloth who has never taken responsibility for siring a child out of wedlock. Elvis travels to Corpus Christi, TX, to confront Sandow about his past; the pastor asks Elvis to let him break the news to his wife and children himself, and assures the young man he wants to stay in contact with him. Elvis, however, prefers to handle matters in his own way. First Elvis sets his sights on Malerie (Pell James), the pastor's teenage daughter, and after winning her trust, takes the girl's virginity. Malerie soon discovers she's pregnant, and after her older brother Paul (Paul Dano) sees Elvis slipping out of the house following a liason with the girl, he confronts the seducer and is stabbed and killed.
