It becomes apparent that Editor Perry White of the Metropolis Daily Planet is suffering from confusion and hallucinations on the eve of an important gangster trial in which he is the prosecution's key witness. This poses a problem that Superman is called on to settle in "Great Caesar's Ghost." Superman is played by George Reeves and Editor White by John Hamilton. Also seen are Noel Neill as Lois Lane, Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen and Robert Shayne as Police Inspector Henderson. The editor's office staff attributes White's strange behavior to overwork until he begins to hear unearthly voices. When he believes he has had a visit from Julius Caesar's ghost, Superman springs into action. Superman must first save his distraught chief from falling to his death from a plane in which he is flying home for a rest.
