An aspiring comic, Neville (Larenz Tate) is burdened by drug abuse and memories of childhood traumas. He and his older half brother Matthew (Martin Cummins), a boxer, are unable to escape from the painful repercussions of their past, which includes their mother serving a prison sentence for killing Neville's father. Things seem to look up for Neville when he becomes involved with a gifted singer (real-life R&B chanteuse Deborah Cox), but still he must struggle to surmount a family legacy that has resulted in so much anger and emotional ruin. Liberty Wallace (Linda Fiorentino), the wife and business partner of wealthy weapons manufacturer Victor Wallace (Oliver Platt), is on her way to her regular assignation with her boyfriend, Russell (Martin Cummins), an actor who's about to go on-stage for the closing night of his hit play. Their plans are ruined by a mysterious gunman who calls himself Joe (Wesley Snipes). Joe straps Russell to a bomb in his dressing room, which will go off if he moves or speaks too loudly. Joe then calls Liberty on her cell phone and coerces her into chaining herself to a hot dog stand in a plaza outside the theater. The hot dog stand is rigged with a bomb, which will go off if Liberty hangs up her cell phone, or when it runs out of battery power. Joe also has a high-powered sniper rifle, her company's best gun, trained on Liberty. Joe doesn't make any demands at first, but it's clear that he has a problem with Liberty's weapons empire, which she inherited from her late father. He eventually tells Liberty that his young daug

A military detective uncovers some disturbing truths while investigating a shocking murder in this made-for-cable mystery, based on a true story. James Chandler (Lou Diamond Phillips is a criminal investigator attached to the Army who has a reputation as a hothead who is quick to use his fists, a reputation that precedes him when he's assigned to the prestigious military base in San Francisco. Chandler soon gets an opportunity to show his mettle when the wife of Sgt. Barry Atkins (Martin Cummins) has been killed -- the first time someone has been murdered at the Presidio. While Chandler's superiors believe the killing was part of a burglary gone wrong, Chandler isn't so certain, and with the help of MP Cpl. Tara Jeffries (Victoria Pratt), he digs deep into the case and makes some startling discoveries.
