A Madison Avenue advertising executive, Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant), is mistaken for a government agent named George Kaplan. He is seized by two enemy agents at New York City?s Plaza Hotel and taken to the house of Lester Townsend. There he is interrogated by a man Thornhill assumes to be Townsend, but who is really Phillip Vandamm (James Mason). Vandamm becomes frustrated when Thornhill repeatedly denies he is Kaplan and orders his agents to get rid of him.

Reno Raines is contacted by Cal Kordick (MADISON MASON), an old friend. Cal reveals that Reno's older brother, Mitch (MARTIN KOVE), long believed dead, is actually alive. Cal is ambushed by a sadistic killer, Scandal Jackson (RED WILLIAMS), but before hedies, Cal gives Reno a videotape and tells him to find Colonel Nelson Bracket (CHARLES NAPIER) .Reno plays the tape for his employers, bounty hunters Bobby Six Killer and Cheyenne Phillips. It shows a middle-aged Mitch fighting a gladiator inside a huge cage. As Reno tells Bobby of his close relationship with Mitch, Cheyenne uses their computer network to trace Col. Bracket to a Hollywood nightclub called "Blood Sport." They go to the boxing club, where Reno defeats Scandal, the club champion, in a three-round kick-boxing match. Using his alias of "Vincent Black," Reno impresses two particular spectators, Col. Bracket and Jackie Rosetti (LARRY MANETTI).

Travis Quinn (BEN REED), a fugitive bank robber wanted in Florida, returns to his hometown of Lakeside, New Mexico. The next morning, bounty hunters Bobby Sixkiller and Reno Raines arrive in Lakeside to arrest Travis. They learn of the murder and find Jessup organizing some townsmen, including Deputy Morgan Edwards (GARY HERSHBERGER) and mechanic Ned Russell (M.C. GAINEY), into a posse to capture Travis. Realizing the angry mob plans to convict Travis without a trial, Bobby and Reno protect their valuable bounty and rescue him.
