The second trailer for Humboldt County now that Magnolia Pictures has picked up the film. This trailer starts off the same as the first, but then adds some new footage towards the second half. At the edge of the continent and on the margins of society is a region of California known to some as The Lost Coast. It is there, in HUMBOLDT COUNTY, that Peter Hadley (Jeremy Strong) - a promising yet disillusioned medical student failed by his professor (Peter Bogdanovich) - stumbles upon a remote community of counterculture marijuana farmers and a warmly embracing, yet eccentric family played by Frances Conroy, Fairuza Balk, Chris Messina, Brad Dourif, and newcomer Madison Davenport. From directors Darren Grodsky and Danny Jacobs, who also co-wrote the screenplay, HUMBOLDT COUNTY is a story of the human soul in search of happiness, and the unexpected places we can sometimes call home.

Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin will star as Kit Kittredge in the film. Produced by HBO Films, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Marisa Yeres, from Goldsmith-Thomas Productions, in association with Julia Roberts and Lisa Gillan from Red Om Films, and Ellen L. Brothers of American Girl, Inc., the film is written by Ann Peacock and tells the story of the clever and resourceful Kit Kittredge, a nine-year-old girl growing up in 1934 during America's Great Depression. Introduced in 2000 as the seventh American Girl historical character, Kit Kittredge will be the first one to have her story adapted for a theatrical film. Working in partnership with American Girl for the last five years, Goldsmith-Thomas Productions and Red Om Films have received nominations and awards for their telefilms "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday," "Felicity: An American Girl Adventure," and "Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front."

An ambitious and straight-laced young man falls in with a group of stoners and aging hippies in this independent comedy drama.
