Yet, intent on keeping the book from being found, Lacroix reveals their escape plan to the secret police, resulting in Bernard's arrest and torture. Accused of working with the secret police, Nick manages to convince Toffler and Lisa that he had nothing to do with Bernard's arrest, Nick leads them out of the library just ahead of the police and later returns to rescue Bernard.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
