Sonny Caruso (JOSEPH CALI), an ambitious gangster, murders his rival, Johnny Bendetti (RICK AIELLO), then implicates Johnny's wife, Leeza (PAULA TRICKEY), as the killer. Carmine Bendetti (GIANNI RUSSO), head of a notorious crime family, pays bail money to free Leeza from jail. Convinced that she murdered his son, he tells his assassins, Pastorini (ANTHONY DELONGIS) and Klenberg (GEORGE MARSHALL RUGE), to kill her. However, Leeza eludes them. Meanwhile, the sleazy bail bondsman, Barry Melman (ANTONY ALDA), who provided Carmine with Leeza's $250,000 bail, hires bounty hunters Bobby Sixkiller (BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND) and Cheyenne Phillips (KATHLEEN KINMONT) to find Leeza so his bail money can be returned. They give the job to their partner, Reno Raines (LORENZO LAMAS), a renegade cop and wanted fugitive who is suffering from painful nightmares about his murdered fiance, Valerie Prentice (DEPRISE BRESCIA)

Renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines (LORENZO LAMAS) is ambushed and shot by his long-time enemies, corrupt Police Lieutenant Donald "Dutch" Dixon (STEPHEN J. CANNELL), and Sergeant Woody Bickford (RON JOHNSON). Reno manages to get to a hospital where he asks to see Dr. Helen McCray (LISA DARR), a close friend of his murdered fiancee. Dr. McCray agrees to treat his bullet wound without notifying the police.Reno returns to his employers, bounty hunters Bobby Sixkiller (BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND) and Cheyenne Phillips (KATHLEEN KINMONT). They receive a telephone call from Hound Adams (GEOFFREY BLAKE). Hound is the brother of Hog Adams (DON GIBB), who was hired by Dixon some time ago to kill Reno. Instead, Hog accidentally killed Reno's fiancge, then was murdered in prison by Dixon. Now Hound is in jail. He asks Bobby to pay his bail and bring $50,000 in exchange for a tape recording that will prove Reno innocent of the murder for which he was falsely implicated by Dixon.

Renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines (LOREN20 LAMAS) trails a fugitive, John "Digger" Sharp (TIM WRIGHTMAN), to an oceanside restaurant. When he tries to arrest him, Reno is clubbed by Avalon Jones (CYNDI PASS), a waitress. Reno awakens in Avalon's motel room, handcuffed to a bed. She suspects Reno of being a cop, but he tells her that his employers, Bobby Sixkiller (BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND) and Cheyenne Phillips (KATHLEEN KINMONT), will verify his identity. Avalon holds Reno for ransom. Recognizing Avalon as rival bounty hunter Denise "Dead End" Dennison, Bobby and Cheyenne pay the money. They deduce that she was also trailing Digger but don't know why she didn'tarrest him.

Renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines (LORENZO LAMAS) and his employers, Bobby Sixkiller (BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND) and Cheyenne Phillips (KATHLEEN KINMONT), learn that a killer, Randy Dupree (SCOTT KRAFT), known as "The Closer," has reappeared. Bobby and Reno discover the address of Dupree's girlfriend, Casey Ward (KARI WHITMAN), and Reno arrives in time to see Dupree driving away in Casey's car. He follows Dupree to a restaurant and watches Dupree convince the manager to let him inside, even though the establishment has closed for the evening. As Reno approaches, two policemen confront him for loitering in the area. Gunshots are heard, Dupree escapes with money stolen from the restaurant, and Reno eludes the startled policemen after rescuing a wounded waitress from inside. The remainder of the restaurant inhabitants were killed.
