He follows Dupree to a restaurant and watches Dupree convince the manager to let him inside, even though the establishment has closed for the evening. As Reno approaches, two policemen confront him for loitering in the area. Gunshots are heard, Dupree escapes with money stolen from the restaurant, and Reno eludes the startled policemen after rescuing a wounded waitress from inside.
