Foreign trailer for USB, which screened at the 2009 Vancouver International Film Festival. A young man and his widowed mother (the radiant Momoi Kaori) talk over breakfast; he wants to be an artist but she wants him to train as a doctor like his late father. In fact, Yuichiro (played by Watanabe Kazushi, star of Miike s Visitor Q and Oku s earlier Cain s Descendant) decided to give up his personal ambitions while attending his father s funeral not long ago. His immediate problem is cash: he owes big money to a loan shark, and is given the choice between making pachinko machines and pushing drugs to clear his debt. He opts, of course, to push drugs.

Lost in the shuffle of a foreign culture, and seeking to console herself, Abby winds up hanging out in her neighborhood ramen shop. After observing the magical effects of the shop's ramen on the customers, Abby convinces herself that her true path in life is to become a ramen chef. Abby persuades the shop's tyrannical, temperamental Japanese master chef to teach her the art of making ramen. And although their relationship is contentious and rocky, they both discover the most important ingredient of all - that each ramen bowl must contain a universe of feeling and truly be a gift from the heart.

Trailer for Sukiyaki Western Django. Famed Japanese auteur Takashi Miike, who is best known for cult classics such as Audition, Ichi: the Killer, and Children of Lost Souls, brings a fresh new look at the beloved spaghetti Western genre in Sukiyaki Western Django. Two clans, Genji, the white clan led by Yoshitsune, and Heike, the red clan led by Kiyomori, battle for a legendary treasure hidden in a poor mountain town. One day a lone gunman, burdened with deep emotional scars but blessed with incredible shooting skills, drifts into town. Expectations reach a boiling point as everyone wonders which gang the gunman will finally decide to join. Dirty tricks, betrayal, desire, and love collide as the situation erupts into a final, explosive showdown.
