The whole gang goes skinny-dipping, only to discover that all of their clothes have been stolen. They're forced to drive to Hyde's house to borrow something to wear and find his house in shambles. Hyde's mom has recently taken off with a trucker and has left him to fend for himself. Lately, Midge has been hosting her 'Women Warrior' meetings at the house. Bob usually hates everything about the group, until one of the women comes on to him and makes him change his mind. Without any money, Hyde starts having dinner at the Forman's. Worried about having another mouth to feed while unemployed, Red tells Eric that Hyde?s frequent visits have to stop. But Eric is extremely concerned that Hyde is broke and still hasn't heard from his mother. When Eric convinces Red and Kitty to check out Hyde's situation, it becomes clear to them that Hyde desperately needs their help. After much discussion, Kitty convinces Red to let Hyde move in.

Hyde tells Eric that if he really wants a job, he should stand up to his parents.Kelso's baffled when Laurie says she doesn't want to make out, but would prefer to talk because she's depressed. Kelso listens patiently in the hope he'll eventually score with Laurie. But afterward, she feels so close to him; she wants a real relationship so she can continue their heart-to-heart talks. Kelso tries to call things off, but Laurie threatens to tell Jackie. Red finally gets his job, only to discover that Eric's been hired at Pricemart as well. Red announces that the first thing he's going to do as a supervisor is fire Eric. Eric says that he won't back down, so Red relents, but threatens to really fire Eric if his grades go down.
