High School football hero Carter Simms (Doug Callan) is living the "high life" in the big city. He has a high paying job, a nice car, a penthouse and a hot uptown girlfriend (Brook Burke). However, Carter's world is turned upside down when his boss (John Kapelos) fires him and he catches his girlfriend cheating on him all in the same day! So, Carter decides to go back to Georgia and get some advice from his parents (Morgan Fairchild & John O'Hurley) about what to do next. He hooks up with his loud, beer guzzling and obnoxious buddies and an old flame from the past. Carter tries to decide what is actually important in life while taking a break from the big city rat race.

A few sensitive viewers bailed out on Seinfeld at the end of season seven, in response to George's (Jason Alexander) apathetic reaction to the death by envelope of his fianc e, Susan.
