The trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Born the bastard son of a hundred maniacs, demented killer Freddy Krueger is back for fresh vitims in this hallucinatory shocker co-written by original creator Wes Craven. The last of the Elm Street kids are now at a psychiatric ward where Freddy haunts thier dreams with unspeakable horros. Their only hope is dream researcher and fellow survivor Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp), who helps them battle the supernatural psycho on his own hellish turf.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare is the seventh entry in the Nightmare on Elm Street series of slasher films. This film is not considered part of the series continuity because it takes place in "reality". Freddy Kreuger, upset that he was killed off in the last "Nightmare on Elm Street" movie, attempts to murder his creators and actors from his previous films.

the film's premise is the question of where the line between dreams and reality lies. The villain, Freddy Krueger, thus exists in the "dream world" yet can kill in the "real world". Sequels to the original would continue to blur the distinction between dream and reality before finally challenging the line between film and reality by showing Heather Langenkamp, playing a fictionalized version of herself, haunted by the villain of a series of films she has starred in.
