The first season of the teen-oriented Canadian drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation begins as former Degrassi High student (and longtime star of the Degrassi TV franchise) Christine Spike Nelson attends a school reunion, where she is reunited with her former classmates (and fellow Degrassi High regulars) Archie Snake Simpson (Stefan Brogren), now a member of the faculty; Joey Jeremiah (Pat Mastroianni), who now owns a car dealership; and Caitlin Ryan (Stacy Mistysyn), at present a TV producer.
