America Ferrera by Steve Granitz/ WireImage.com
America Ferrera thinks The Hills, 90210 and Gossip Girl teaches girls to be, well, mean girls. Us Weekly reports that Ferrera isn't happy with the way female relationships are depicted on popular TV shows. The star of ABC's Ugly Betty which constantly debates the themes of beauty on the inside vs. the outside told the October issue of Seventeen, "If you're watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act you go to school, and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other."In that case, what does Ferrera think about Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star Blake Lively's hit show Gossip Girl? She admits, "I mean, I love Blake; she's a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean." (Interesting since Ugly Betty, while sweet in the end, has some of the cattiest 'tudes on TV).With all the talk of catty women, Ferrera admits that working with Lively, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bl...

During an interview to promote their new film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, the conversation with stars America Ferrera and Blake Lively took an uncomfortable turn as the topic moved to one of the most buzzed shows out there Blakes own Gossip Girl. But what is priceless about this clip is not Blake going on and on about the show while America sits in awkward silence, it's the face the Ugly Betty star makes in the final seconds. Not very Sisterhood-y if you ask us.

How cute are these two? Blake Lively and Penn Badgley not only do they play boyfriend and girlfriend in the hit series Gossip Girl (though after last week that may change), but in the real world, the two can't keep their hands off each other. After wrapping their first season, the lovebirds hit up the beaches of Mexico for some R&R (and some hanky-panky we're sure). They were even pictured snuggling on the beach!

Gossip Girl's Blake Lively and Penn Badgley have pals gossiping about a real-life romance betwen the on-screen lovebirds. Sophia Bush, who once was married to cast mate Chad Michael Murray, is now amorously entangled with One Tree Hiller James Lafferty (aka Nathan), says the News' Rush & Malloy. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, Gossip Girl
Take that, Nielsens. Turns out the mighty ratings system has met its match in a plucky little lady named Gossip Girl (Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET, CW). She may not have the biggest numbers, but raging word of mouth, mad style and a rules-rewriting DVR draw have made the CW's snazzy adaptation of the novels — Dynasty, 90210 by way of the Big Apple — the stuff teen dreams are made of. And that's the sort of rep every girl would die for.
1. It's the smartest ensemble this side of Fashion Week. Teen soaps usually have one weak link (no names, please!), but not in this cast. Blake Lively, as sassy Serena van der Woodsen, lives up to her name; Leighton Meester's broken-doll sadness saves Blair from bitch cliché;

Chace Crawford, Gossip Girl
Spotted: S and B's common thread, N, chatting with TVGuide.com outside school. Is B jealous when she hears her man drop S' name to the online reporter? OK, so that's not exactly how it went, but we did talk to Gossip Girl's (Wednesdays, 9 pm/ET, CW) Chace Crawford about S and B and all that comes with attending an Upper East Side private school. He also shared some scoop on Nate's heated family drama, a Thanksgiving you won't want to miss, and a guest star in tonight's episode that he's really excited about.
TVGuide.com: OK, I'll admit it, I'm addicted. This show is such a guilty pleasure.Chace Crawford: Hey, that's what I like to hear! I'm even impressed with everything that [I've seen].
TVGuide.com: It's funny to see this teenage hierarchy in Manhattan, because I live in New York, but I never went

On Wednesday night, CW's top-rated series, America's Next Top Model, showed double-digit growth last season and was the No. 1 show in its time slot with women 18-34. Next season, America's Next Top Model will stay in its 8-9 pm berth, followed by the new drama Gossip Girl from 9-10 pm. From The O.C. producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Gossip Girl is based on the best-selling young-adult book series of the same name. The show features an ensemble cast of new and veteran actors, including Blake Lively (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Leighton Meester (Surface), and chronicles the struggle for social supremacy among teens in a posh Manhattan prep school. The fun, sexy and dramatic hour is a perfect companion piece for Top Model's strong female audience, making Wednesday "Girls Night In" on The CW. On Thursday television's most competitive night Smallville and Supernatural deliver a solid mix of male and female viewers. On Friday, the wildly popular ...
