(1952) Peggy Castle, Gerald Mohr, Can O'Herlihy, Noel Neill. The U.S. is being invaded! Unknown enemy troops pour over the borders. Bombs are dropping on major cities and installations, including an H-bomb on New York City at the film's riveting climax. Many of us saw this film on TV when we were kids, then, it just seemed to disappear. Very entertaining and must-see for all '50's sci-fi fans. 35mm.

The Adventures of Superman: Great Caesar's Ghost

It becomes apparent that Editor Perry White of the Metropolis Daily Planet is suffering from confusion and hallucinations on the eve of an important gangster trial in which he is the prosecution's key witness. This poses a problem that Superman is called on to settle in "Great Caesar's Ghost." Superman is played by George Reeves and Editor White by John Hamilton. Also seen are Noel Neill as Lois Lane, Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen and Robert Shayne as Police Inspector Henderson. The editor's office staff attributes White's strange behavior to overwork until he begins to hear unearthly voices. When he believes he has had a visit from Julius Caesar's ghost, Superman springs into action. Superman must first save his distraught chief from falling to his death from a plane in which he is flying home for a rest. Threatened by the Swami's exotic assistants the two reporters are saved only through the quick action of Superman, played by George Reeves. Larry Dobkin is the Swami. Others appearing are Robert Shayne as Henderson, John Hamilton as Perry White, Veola Vonn as Lura, Richard Karlan as Monk, Russell Custer as Healey and Tom Bernard as Doug.
