This film is the age old story of a young girl struggling to take charge of her future. Talented painter, Clarissa Ryder (Mary Fae Smith), has dreamed of becoming a successful artist her entire life. Encouraged by her two good friends Margaret Lloiend and John Maher, she plans, upon graduating high school to move across country to pursue her dream. However, close to departure, she falls in love with Thomas Levy (Jeff Whitlatch)an aspiring musician who becomes her muse. During her confusion at college of how to reconcile her passion for art and her love for Thomas, she meets Charles Edmund (Robert Walters), a strong unartistic pillar of support. "Happy Holidays" chronicles the tumultuous and confusing relationships these five characters are faced with. Going through affairs, engagements, promises and heartbreak;Thomas, Charles, Margaret, John, and most of all, Clarissa must learn how to deal with the dreams of their past along with the realities of her future.

The Durango Kid

Rancher Sam Lowry (Frank LaRue) is killed by Mace Ballard (Kenneth MacDonald) because he learned that Ballard's men ar waging war against the homesteaders. Ballard blames the killing on "The Durango Kid", a a mysterious frontier Robin Hood friendly to the homesteaders. This accusation makes Bill Lowry (Charles Starrett) more than a little suspicious of Ballard for, unknown to anyone, he is the Durango Kid, a role he has assumed in order to fight against the Ballard gang. When Ballard's men raid the Ben Winslow (Forrest Taylor) homestead, they are driven off by Bill and his ranch hands (The Sons of the Pioneers) but not before the home is burned and the cattle scattered. Taking a shine to Winslow's daughter, Nancy (Luana Walters), Bill masks himself as "Durango", strips Ballard of all his cash and gives it to the homesteaders. Ballard has U. S. Marshal Trayboe (played by Melvin Land, but credited to Ben Taggart in the Columbia pressbook) post a reward for "Durango", and Trayboe, wiser t

The show opens with Donaldson, Kennedy, Iacocca and Koch playing a round of "Political Jeopardy." Back at D.C. Follies, It's Valentine's Day and Fred is pining over his lost love, Princess Di. He flashes back to memories of their relationship culminating in a "Casablanca" - type scene where Fred tells Di to marry Charles. Margaret Thatcher confides in Madonna to get help for her new image, which turns out to be a very unusual music video. Fred's faith in love is restored when another old flame, Mary Hart, comes into the bar. The moment is fleeting, however because Mary is really there to be interviewed by Barbara Walters.
